A Culinary Journey Rooted in Nostalgia
The idea for Joshital was born out of Rupali Joshi’s longing for the traditional flavors of her hometown in Uttarakhand. After moving to Bangalore, she realized how difficult it was to find genuine Pahadi food. On one of her visits home, she decided to bring back authentic spices like Jambu, Gandraini, and Bhangeera to recreate the recipes she missed the most. Soon, she and her husband Niranjan realized that they were not alone—many others were also yearning for the same comforting flavors.
What started as a personal mission quickly turned into a full-fledged cloud kitchen, dedicated to reviving and preserving Uttarakhand’s traditional culinary heritage. Joshital’s food is made fresh, never frozen, and customized to ensure every meal is as close to home as possible.
