From crafting paper boats to navigating the seas of success
Prashant Kulkarni, born in 1987, started his business journey as a kid by selling paper boats and managing a video cassette library. These early experiences laid the foundation for his future ventures.
In 2001, Prashant got into book trading, buying books from a local seller and selling them in Khajuri Bazar. This not only funded his passion for aquarium fish but also showcased his business skills. In 2003, he entered the mobile phone market, selling SIM cards and phones to friends and relatives. His personalized service and choice number offerings earned him a good reputation.
Diversifying, Prashant managed a tire tube shop in Indore and played a vital role in setting up his father’s tire tube factory in 2006. Joining Infosys in 2007, he contributed to multiple projects, showcasing his organizational skills.
In 2009, his love for culinary innovation led him to start Chatar Patar, a unique street food brand. By 2011, he registered it as a private limited company, laying the groundwork for national expansion. In 2013, he introduced Boxo Burger, further expanding his business.
Prashant’s success didn’t go unnoticed. He received the CNBC Masterpreneur award in 2015, accolades from Times Now ET Now in 2017, the Super Startup Asia award in 2018, and was named Entrepreneur of the Year in 2019.
In 2020, he launched Zuper World, a platform supporting aspiring entrepreneurs. Prashant remains dedicated to helping others succeed, using his vast experience. His story serves as an inspiration, emphasizing the importance of determination, innovation, and passion in business.
